It's only fitting that the first day of the 2022 NFL Draft began and ended with Georgia Bulldogs defenders being selected, as that nucleus led them to the national title.

How good was that group collectively?

First-round pick Jermaine Johnson II transferred from Georgia to Florida State for more playing time and ended up being a first-round pick himself.

Cine went No. 32 overall to the Minnesota Vikings.

Coming out of Trinity Christian School (Texas), Cine was viewed as a future NFL safety.

How high would he go was the bigger question.

Here's how Cine was rated as a prospect in the class of 2019:

247Sports

Ranking: 4-star prospect, No. 95 overall prospect, No. 7 safety

Notable: 247Sports compared Cine to NFL star Marcus Williams and projected him as a Day 2 pick.

While he outperformed that prediction by one selection, the Vikings would be thrilled if they secured, "the next Marcus Williams."

Rivals

Ranking: 4-star prospect; Nation's No. 54 overall, No. 5 safety

Notable:Rivals was also quite high on Cine as a future NFL safety.

In fact, they liked him even better than 247Sports.

ESPN

Ranking: 4-star prospect; Nation's No. 35 overall prospect, No. 2 safety

Notable: ESPN loved Cine, ranking him ahead of Kyle Hamilton.

The only player ahead of him? Daxton Hill, who went one pick earlier.
