Class of 2022 quarterback Jackson Jones, an honorable mention all-state selection, was arguably the top senior quarterback in state of Oregon last fall.

But the 6-foot, 190-pound signal-caller is still looking for his college football home.

Hoping to get some clarity on his future, Jones is set to take a visit to Jackson State this weekend, where he may become a high-end walk-on with upside.

"(It's) for sure a possible landing spot," he said.

Jones first received a walk-on offer from Deion Sanders and Jackson State last month and has remained in contact with the coaching staff since.

"I talk with coach (Brett) Barolone almost every day it feels like... if not, a couple times a week," Jones said. "He was actually at Nevada when I got MVP at their camp last summer, so we were already connected before he took the Jackson State (offensive coordinator) job."

As a senior, Jones led Tualatin to the 6A state championship game and was an honorable mention all-state selection.

Now, he's looking for a college home - and he may find it this weekend.
