For several years in the early 2010's the Oregon Ducks football program swung and missed in the recruitment of elite wide receivers.

But in recent years Oregon has completely flipped its fortunes.

After landing top-seven wide receivers Troy Franklin and Dont'e Thornton in the 2021 recruiting class, the Ducks secured Arizona's Kyler Kasper as part of the 2022 class last month when he reclassified.

Keeping that momentum going, Dan Lanning and his coaching staff secured another major pass-catcher Monday.

During a commitment announcement on CBS SportsHQ, Valley Christian High School (California) wide receiver Jurrion Dickey chose Oregon over fellow finalists Penn State, UCLA, USC and Washington:

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound playmaker is rated the nation's No. 59 overall prospect, the No. 8 wide receiver and the No. 7 prospect in the state of California.

Here's what 247Sports had to say in its scouting report regarding Dickey's measurements:

"Checking in at a verified 6-foot-2 and 206 pounds, this multi-sport athlete who also plays basketball and competes in track and field has excellent overall athleticism. He has more than ample length with a 78 inch wingspan and 33 inch arms. With a muscular chiseled frame he does not have any bad weight on him. Possesses very good explosiveness and speed having a 37-inch vertical and 4.58 forty time that are both verified."

Dickey is the third member of Oregon's 2023 recruiting class, joining Arizona four-star cornerback Cole Martin and Utah defensive lineman Tevita Pome'e.
