The Oregon Ducks men's basketball 2023 recruiting class is already off to a blistering-hot start.

Dana Altman and his coaching staff have assembled a two-man nucleus that is rated No. 4 nationally and includes five-star small forward Mookie Cook, the nation's No. 5 overall prospect, and West Linn four-star point guard Jackson Shelstad

But Oregon isn't done.

In late April, the Ducks hosted Montverde Academy (Florida) five-star power forward Kwame Evans Jr., who had high praise for his trip.

During a recent interview with 247Sports, the nation's No. 2 overall prospect gave his thoughts on his stay in Eugene.

"The visit went really well," Evans said. "The coaching staff is really nice and I saw everything. It was very nice. On the visit they showed me their top notch facilities with Nike right there. The food spots there is good and its just a lot good things over there. It's a small town with not a lot of people but when you lock in you can do what you want to do.”

Arizona, Indiana, Kentucky and others still remain in the mix for Evans, but it's clear the Ducks are a major factor - and will remain so until the very end.
