Carlsbad High School (California) quarterback Julian Sayin has already been anointed as a future star.

Only a sophomore, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound signal-caller is a five-star prospect and holds offer from more than 20 major college football programs.

But on Wednesday his recruitment gained even more steam, as he added scholarship offers from Alabama and LSU, the two programs who most recently produced Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks - Bryce Young (2021) and Joe Burrow (2019).

Early in his recruitment Sayin has remained wide open and visited many schools to gather information before he makes any type of cut.

Unsurprisingly, that remains the case even after his latest offers.

Sayin visited Alabama as a freshman, and while he has not yet set a return trip he did have high praise for the Crimson Tide.

"Tuscaloosa is a cool place, and obviously Alabama and coach (Nick) Saban speaks for themselves," he said.

As for LSU, Sayin indicated that relationship has ramped up in recent weeks as he's gotten to know quarterback coach Joe Sloan.

It remains early in Sayin's relationship with the two powerhouse SEC programs, so the offers are a first step.

But, the California signal-caller said there's "definitely a lot of interest in those programs" after his big day.
