Dylan Edwards, Under Armour All-American running back, trims list to 10

Derby High School (Kansas) running back Dylan Edwards was nearly unstoppable in the state of Kansas as a junior.

The dynamic 5-foot-9, 165-pound ball-carrier, who reportedly runs a 4.34 40-yard dash, averaged more than 12 yards per carry on his way to accumulating 3,214 all-purpose yards and 40 total touchdowns, as well as the Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year.

"Dylan Edwards is the best player I’ve seen in person at the high school level," Hutchinson High School coach Mike Vernon said. "He’s very dangerous. I can’t wait for him to graduate.”

So, it's hardly surprising the Under Armour All-American Game selection has racked up more than 30 scholarship offers.

On Friday, Edwards decided to trim his list to 10: Jackson State, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington and Wisconsin:

Oklahoma's inclusion is far from surprising, but it is noteworthy, as the Sooners are widely believed to be the favorites to add Edwards.

There's still plenty of time for all 10 of his suitors to jump into the lead, but the cut is significant.
