It was another busy weekend on the recruiting trail, as some of the top prospects in America hit the road to check out top schools.

Given all of that activity, there were a lot of newsworthy headlines coming out of the past few days - a new Alabama offer for a California high school freshman, Oklahoma landing a junior college quarterback, Oregon hosting a five-star quarterback, UCLA hosting the nation's No.2 basketball prospect and a lot more. 

Here's a look at the top recruiting stories of the past few days:

- Fast-rising 2025 Mater Dei running back Jordon Davison receives Alabama offer

The 5-foot-11, 210-pound ball-carrier played at the varsity level for the national champion Monarchs, rushing for 188 yards and four touchdowns on the season while averaging 6.3 yards per carry.

Perhaps that's why he's racked up nearly 30 scholarship offers, including many from the nation's top schools - Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas and USC to name a few. 

- Junior college quarterback General Booty commits to Oklahoma Sooners

The Booty name? Legendary.

The Booty genes? Impeccable.

Given his family's success in the world of college football, it seemed inevitable Tyler Junior College (Texas) quarterback General Booty would find a Power 5 Conference fit, but it took some time.

- Nation's No. 2 overall prospect Ron Holland visits UCLA Bruins

The 6-foot-8, 195-pound playmaker is down to eight options: Arkansas, Auburn, Houston, Kentucky, Memphis, Texas, UCLA and the NBA's G-League.

- Prediction: Mississippi State to land Texas all-state running back 

Over the past two seasons, Davis has amassed 4,047 yards and 45 touchdowns on the ground, highlighted by a 2,422-yard, 28-touchdown campaign as a junior.

- Rising 2025 Oregon OL Jace Eveland on Oregon Ducks visit: 'It was, by far, the most special I've been treated' 

“I think I talked to like 10-plus coaches,” he said. “It was a lot to keep track of. I talked to Dan Lanning a few times and I got a picture with him. It was, by far, the most special I’ve been treated.”

- Los Alamitos freshman Devin Bragg runs 10.35 100 to win Division I Southern Section in first season of track 

“Going into the race, I wasn’t feeling too good," he said. "So, I was thinking at least second or third. Then, it just happened. I didn’t expect to win or anything. But it happened.”

- Nevada 4-star DE Kelze Howard trims list to 8 

Howard trimmed his list to a top eight of Arizona, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State, USC and Utah. 

- Mississippi 4-star RB Dante Dowdell commits to Oregon over Ole Miss, Tennessee, others

Dowdell is rated as highly as the nation's No. 13 running back and put up stellar numbers during his junior season on the way to a state title

- Pittsburg 5-star quarterback Jaden Rashada visiting Oregon Ducks this weekend

Rashada, the nation's No. 5 quarterback, is making a return trip to Eugene and the Ducks have made the quarterback position a massive priority during the 2023 recruiting cycle

- Nation's No. 1 inside linebacker Payton Pierce visiting Oklahoma Sooners

"My mom went to O-U, my great-grandpa played there, all of my cousins go there, my aunt and uncle on both sides went there, my grandma and grandpa went there and my brother did. That's why everyone thinks I'm going to go there."

- Under Armour All-American running back Dylan Edwards trims list to 10; Oklahoma remains presumed favorite

The dynamic 5-foot-9, 165-pound ball-carrier, who reportedly runs a 4.34 40-yard dash, averaged more than 12 yards per carry on his way to accumulating 3,214 all-purpose yards and 40 total touchdowns, as well as the Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year.

- Bluechip interior offensive lineman Landen Hatchett trims list to 5

Hatchett took a major step forward in his recruitment, trimming his list to a top five of Michigan, Oregon, Texas A&M, USC and Washington:

- Bishop Gorman 4-star cornerback Jeremiah Hughes announces top 8

Hughes is taking official visits to Washington, LSU, Arkansas and Utah in the coming weeks
