Kadyn Proctor, nation's No. 1 offensive tackle, sets official visits: Report

Southeast Polk High School (Iowa) offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor is the No. 1 player in the country at his position.

And given the value of left tackles, he's one of the most coveted prospects in America.

On Wednesday, the 6-foot-7, 330-pound lineman announced his official visit schedule in an edit from On3's Hayes Fawcett.

Here's the schedule: Arkansas State (June 6-8), Alabama (June 10-12), Penn State (June 17-19), Oregon (June 24-26) and Michigan (September 3).

Proctor has kept his recruitment pretty close to the vest, but has released a top seven that included Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon and Penn State.

While Iowa didn't get an official visit, Proctor has made previous stops there and will have ample time to take unofficial return trips. 

The Hawkeyes remain a serious contender for the nation's No. 7 prospect.

Here's what 247Sports had to say in its scouting report on Proctor, comparing him to San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams:

"Prototypical height, length and size. Lines up at left tackle and currently projects as a future college blind side protector. Good natural athlete. Shows explosiveness off the ball, twitch and quickness for a big man. Gets out of his stance quickly in pass protection. Has strength and a powerful punch. Can run and get out in front of plays to make blocks in space. Shows few glaring weaknesses, but can still tweak technique and steaily improve on testing numbers. Is a high-end prospect who can play for any school in the country and has the upside and work ethic to play beyond that."
