The West doesn't have a ton of running back talent in the class of 2023.

And the top two players came off the board Thursday.

In other recruiting news, Oregon scheduled official visits with a few of the top players in America, while Florida is currently hosting a five-star California quarterback.

Here's a look at the top recruiting stories of the past few days:

- Jayden Limar, West region's top running back, commits to Notre Dame

“I’ll be going to Notre Dame,” he said. “Honestly, coach (Marcus) Freeman and coach (Deland) McCullough and everybody they got up there, they’re building something really special. They’re really building a family atmosphere and that’s the first thing that I’ve always wanted in a program. So they got me.”

- Jayden Limar details complicated recruiting relationship with Washington Huskies

Coaching changes and a tough 4-8 season has made the in-state recruiting effort difficult for Washington, but there are signs of improvement

- Roderick Robinson II, California's No. 1 running back, commits to UCLA Bruins

"Coach Kelly pulled me in for our meeting and told me he loves running the ball. You can't win football games if you're not establishing the run. He told me that, straight-up. To hear I could be his next great back that he produces, that means a lot to me. Because I already know the type of backs he's put into the NFL and the type of backs he works with. I feel like I fit that role great. Why not be the next great (Chip Kelly) running back?"

- Five-star OL Samson Okunlola enjoys Oregon Ducks unofficial visit; Official visit possible

"It was great," Okunlola said. "The people around there are really good. I like the new staff there. They are really good people. The players, too. I got to talk to the players, and that was really good as well."

 - Richard Young, 5-star running back, sets Oregon Ducks official visit

While the Ducks are not currently considered the favorite, Dan Lanning's program has given itself a chance to shine - and possibly earn Young's commitment.

- Central Catholic star and nation's No. 2 TE Riley Williams sets 4 official visits; Alabama, Miami, Ohio State and Oregon earn trips

The Central Catholic star will take official visits to Alabama (June 3), Ohio State (June 10), Miami (June 17) and Oregon (June 24).

- Nation's No. 1 offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor sets 5 official visits; Alabama, Arkansas State, Michigan, Oregon and Penn State earn trips

Here's the schedule: Arkansas State (June 6-8), Alabama (June 10-12), Penn State (June 17-19), Oregon (June 24-26) and Michigan (September 3).

- USC Trojans earn nation's No. 1 transfer portal recruiting class: Report

Unsurprisingly, the USC Trojans, who added 19 players via the portal, were crowned kings.

- Pittsburg 5-star quarterback Jaden Rashada arrives for Florida Gators visit

Pittsburg High School (California) quarterback Jaden Rashada is one of the top uncommitted signal-callers left in the country.

- 2025 Clackamas star Jazzy Davidson named nation's No. 1 overall prospect

As a freshman, the do-it-all 6-foot-1 guard was named the Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year, averaging 22.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 4.1 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.

- Amanda Muse, elite California post, commits to UCLA Bruins basketball

"I committed via Zoom call with my whole family," she said. "So, that was really special. Coming off the visit I knew I wanted to commit, but I wanted to give it a couple of days to simmer before I made it official."

- North Medford 3-star offensive lineman Terrell Kim shares inspirational weight-lifting video

"Always been chasing for five plates," he wrote. Finally got it. Grind don’t stop, but it’s nice to celebrate the small victories. Let’s keep it going."
