The Oregon State Beavers went more than six months without adding a 2023 commitment.

Then, "bang."

Oregon State has landed Florida three-star edge-rusher Zakaih Saez and California three-star quarterback Aidan Chiles in the past week and may add more this weekend.

The Beavers are hosting several official visitors and may be trying to replicate last year's recruiting effort, when a quiet spring gave way to a flurry of June commitments.

Here's a look at the prospects expected to be in Corvallis this weekend:

4-star defensive lineman Kelze Howard (Spring Valley HS; Nevada) - Rated the nation's No. 19 defensive lineman, Kelze Howard is arguably the top non-edge-rushing defensive line prospect in the entire West region.

Howard had initially scheduled official visits to Arizona, Nebraska, Oregon and Utah, but traded out his trip to Eugene in favor of a visit to Corvallis.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound athlete would be the highest-rated high school defensive prospect ever to commit to Oregon State.

Will the Beavers pull it off?

3-star cornerback Andre Piper-Jordan Jr. (Federal Way HS; Washington) - Andre Piper-Jordan Jr.'s stock is on the rise.

In a loaded Ford Sports Performance program, APJ Jr. walked away with the program's MVP award this spring.

Given that FSP boasts multiple five-star recruits and several other four-star prospects, the award is likely a sign of good things to come.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound cornerback holds offers from Arizona, Oregon, Oregon State, Virginia Tech and others.
