Turns out, Mario Cristobal still has significant recruiting pull in the Northwest.

Still awaiting the Friday decision of Riley Williams, the nation's No. 2 tight end, Miami's Northwest haul is unlikely to stop there.

Both Williams, an Oregonian, and five-star edge rusher Jayden Wayne, previously out of Washington, recently announced their plans to transfer to IMG Academy (Florida) for their senior seasons.

While that's obviously great news for the powerhouse prep program, it also seems to be a huge recruiting win for Miami.

Prediction: Riley Williams, Jayden Wayne to commit to Miami Hurricanes

I've already predicted Williams will choose Miami, but it's becoming more and more likely that he is joined by Wayne.

The 6-foot-5, 245-pound edge-rusher, rated the nation's No. 30 overall prospect, holds more than 40 scholarship offers but is down to final six of Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan State and Oregon.

Much like Williams, at one point Wayne seemed to be favoring the Oregon Ducks, but it sounds like much of that momentum traveled with Cristobal when he took the Hurricanes head coaching job.

Wayne has yet to set a timeframe for his commitment, but expect him to become a Hurricane in the end.

On paper, it will spell a big-time in-state haul for Miami.

In reality, Cristobal's Northwest ties opened the door to the region and will likely end with his program snagging the No. 1 recruits from both Oregon and Washington.
