In recent years, the Oregon State Beavers have developed a budding pipeline to the state of Florida.

Last year, Jonathan Smith's coaching staff signed a trio of Florida prospects, including coveted IMG Academy interior lineman Dylan Lopez and heavily-offered Calvary Christian linebacker Melvin Jordan.

Continuing that trend in the 2023 recruiting cycle, Oregon State already added St. Thomas Aquinas edge-rusher Zakaih Saez.

On Sunday, a second Florida pledge entered the fold, as Dillard High School three-star wide receiver Tastean Reddicks announced his commitment to the Beavers:

"I’m headed to Oregon State," he said. "The visit was lit. I really got a piece of Corvallis. The coaches and players showed love. That’s what really made me feel like it was home. They make me feel wanted at the school, like I am a priority."

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound pass-catcher, rated the nation's No. 158 wide receiver, chose Oregon State over Georgia Tech, Louisville, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and others.

Reddicks said a big part of his selection of Oregon State is the belief that they are headed in the right direction, particularly with the current recruiting class.

In the hopes of earning early playing time, the Florida product is enrolled in summer classes and intends to graduate in December to enroll at Oregon State in January.
