Just two days after decommitting from the Georgia Bulldogs, Anniston High School (Alabama) interior offensive lineman Ryqueze McElderry has found a new home.

On Monday, the 6-foot-4, 325-pound lineman announced his commitment to Alabama, choosing the Crimson Tide over offers from Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, LSU, Ole Miss, Penn State and others:

McElderry is rated as a four-star prospect and the nation's No. 11 offensive guard by Rivals.

He had been committed to Georgia since last fall, but quickly became a possible "flip candidate" as his relationship with Alabama intensified.

This spring and summer, he visited several SEC campuses - and the writing was on the wall.

During that time the Crimson Tide continued to solidify themselves as McElderry's likely final destination.

"What really pushed Alabama over the top for me is the relationships I have with the coaching staff," he told Rivals. "Coach Wolf has recruited me since I was a freshman. He has also developed a really good relationship with my mom.

"He has developed a lot of great offensive linemen for the NFL. Alabama also has a great track record of putting linemen in the NFL. They have a great history with sending players at all positions to the NFL."

Alabama's 2023 recruiting class consists of 10 pledges and is ranked No. 23 nationally, headlined by five-star cornerbacks Tony Mitchell and Jahlil Hurley.
