It has been a whirlwind summer for Northwest prospects on the recruiting trail.

The top players in Oregon and Washington, tight end Riley Williams and edge-rusher Jayden Wayne, respectively, transferred to IMG Academy (Florida) and announced commitments to the Miami Hurricanes.

Between those decisions, seven of the top prospects in the state of Oregon came off the board, while All-American cornerback Caleb Presley chose Oregon.

But all along, Spanaway Lake High School (Washington) cornerback Jasiah Wagoner has been among the region's top recruiting prizes.

And he's finally set to come off the board Monday.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back is down to a final four of California, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas, and recently discussed his finalists with SBLive Sports.

So, where is Wagoner headed?

Prediction: Oklahoma Sooners

Wagoner has kept his recruitment pretty close to the vest, and likes all four of his finalists, stemming from relationships developed early in the recruiting process with all four programs.

But the Washington product is closest to Oklahoma coach Brent Venables and has stated for some time that he'd be willing to leave the region if he liked the fit.

"I like Oklahoma. Coach (Brent) Venables is like my favorite coach," Wagoner said. "I talk to him all the time. They obviously have a great history of being a good program. Coach (Jay) Valai, his mentality and how good he is at technique coaching, he's done a good job of recruiting me, so it's obviously one of my favorite schools."

Cal, Oregon and Texas all have coaches on staff who have known Wagoner longer, but he's consistently spoken most highly of the Sooners in recent weeks.

While his commitment is not a slam dunk, Oklahoma feels like the leader heading into his decision.
