The nation's top 18 quarterbacks and 23 of the top 24 were committed prior to this weekend, providing some stunningly early clarity to the 2023 recruiting cycle.

Lausanne Collegiate School (Tennessee) four-star signal-caller Brock Glenn was the lone holdout.

Throughout much of the summer, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback seemed like a lock to choose the Florida State Seminoles.

But in the past few weeks the Ohio State Buckeyes have gone all-in on Glenn.

That effort paid off Saturday, as the nation's No. 18 quarterback chose Ohio State over Auburn, Florida State, LSU and TCU.

As a junior, Glenn, an Elite 11 finalist, threw for 1,576 yards and 23 touchdowns with nine interceptions with 161 yards and three scores on the ground.

The Tennessee product has been a late bloomer whose stock has risen significantly over the past few months.

Heres's what 247Sports had to say about Glenn as a prospect:

"Flashes good pocket awareness and adequate mobility as a runner. Demonstrates good foot quickness/setup in the pocket but feet can get a little happy at times leading to accuracy issues. Possesses above average arm talent and adequate arm strength.

"Exhibits a clean shoulder high release and gets the ball out quickly. Excels as a short to intermediate passer, displaying timing, anticipation and accuracy. Flashes some touch and accuracy on the deep ball but has room to improve in that area.

"Has a tendency to play fast at times but has above average tools at the quarterback position and has the ability to excel in the right system. Projects a multi-year starter at a Power Five program at the next level that will need a year or two to develop before seeing significant playing time. Will also need to take better care of the football as he recorded a 23/9 TD-to-INT ratio last season as a junior."

Glenn joins an Ohio State recruiting class that is ranked No. 1 in the country and is headlined by American Heritage (Florida) five-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss and Rolesville (North Carolina) pass-catcher Noah Rogers
