Judson High School (Texas) two-sport athlete Anthony Evans III has a reputation as one of the most explosive athletes in the state.
And for good reason.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound speedster is a four-star football recruit, rated the nation's No. 350 overall prospect, and has clocked a 10.27 in the 100-meter dash.
After an early commitment to Arkansas, Evans decommitted in April and re-opened his recruitment, racking up nearly 40 scholarship offers.
On Friday, he put an end to his recruiting process, committing to Oklahoma over Georgia, Penn State and Texas A&M:
“I would fit in perfectly in that offense and it’s Oklahoma," Evans told On3. "My official visit was amazing. The guys up there … Jackson (Arnold). Colton (Vasek) … it’s just one of those things.”
Oklahoma's 2023 recruiting class is ranked No. 5 nationally and is headlined by five-star quarterback Jackson Arnold.
But with Evans in the fold, the Sooners have at least one bluechip prospect at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, offensive line, defensive line, linebacker and defensive back.
