Arch Manning, Texas football commit, breaks high school passing records of uncles Peyton, Eli Manning

In at least two statistical categories, Isidore Newman High School (Louisiana) five-star quarterback and Texas Longhorns commit Arch Manning has already surpassed his legendary uncles.

On Friday night, Manning broke a pair of high school records previously held by his Super Bowl-winning family members. 

Arch eclipsed Eli Manning's 7,268 career passing yards mark and also bested Peyton Manning's career passing touchdowns record of 93. 

And he did it in style.

By halftime of Newman's contest against Pearl River, Manning's squad had taken a 38-7 lead and he had thrown for 279 yards and five touchdowns. 

Manning is rated as the nation's No. 1 overall prospect by On3 and 247Sports and committed to Texas over Alabama, Georgia and others in June. 

According to 247Sports, he projects as a future top-10 NFL draft pick:

"Possesses an ideal frame at 6-foot-4 and 215-pounds and growth potential to add additional 10 to 15-pounds to his frame at the next level. Displays above average athleticism and adequate mobility as a runner, increasing his rushing totals every season over the last three years. ...Appears to have good pocket awareness / presence and the ability to extend plays with his feet. Has enough mobility as a runner to have to respect him in situational down and distance areas. Exhibits clean feet in the pocket while demonstrating good foot quickness and play tempo in his drop."
