Dante Dowdell, Oregon Ducks 4-star running back pledge, runs for 98-yard TD — again
For the second time in two weeks, Picayune High School (Mississippi) star and Oregon Ducks commit Dante Dowdell scored on a 98-yard touchdown run.
This time it came against Vancleave:
The run was a a bit similar to the one he delivered earlier this month:
Dowdell finished the game with 240 yards and three scores on just 13 carries. averaging 18.5 yards per rushing attempt.
The 6-foot-1 1/2, 200-pound back has seen his stock rise significantly over the past few months and is nearly a consensus top-10 running back nationally.
As such, Dowdell is still being recruited heavily.
This weekend, he is taking an unofficial visit to Ole Miss, but a source close to the dynamic back said he may be going primarily to support his high school teammates, who are going on recruiting visits.
Regardless of his intent, Dowdell is a prospect that Dan Lanning's program desperately wants to hang onto through Signing Day.
The Mississippi back is proving he's a truly dynamic, special talent this fall.
