Lincoln East High School (Nebraska) athlete Malachi Coleman, the nation's No. 82 overall prospect and No. 2 athlete, has nearly 30 scholarship offers.

So far, the 6-foot-5, 205-pound wide receiver/edge-rusher has taken just one official visit - Nebraska on June 3 - but that was set to change this weekend.

Coleman was scheduled to take a visit to Miami, but the trip was canceled.

According to Coleman, that wasn't his choice and it was the Hurricanes who put a stop to the trip:

Coleman's tweet marks the second time a social media post about him has made headlines.

When a Nebraska fan speculated about Coleman's eligibility for an upcoming game, Coleman's family expressed displeasure with the tone that was being taken:

Coleman has previously announced a top seven of Georgia, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, and USC and set an October 22 commitment date.

He has taken trips to Georgia, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon and others, but the Cornhuskers have emerged as the likely favorite.

Still, it's clear a lot remains in the air for the dynamic athlete.

Here's what 247Sports had to say about him, in part, as a prospect:

"Tall, long, and lean with significant frame space. Narrow through the core but plenty of room to add needed mass. Two-way playmaker at outside receiver and defensive end with physical tools and requisite athleticism to play either side of the ball in the long term. ...That said, may project higher as an edge rusher. Plays with a consistent motor and flashes chase-down pursuit athleticism. Closes fast and finishes tackles stronger than lean, sinewy build suggests. Dangerous back-side rusher who produced four forced fumbles as a junior."
