Great players make great plays.

And in Chaminade's 36-29 victory over Bishop Amat on Friday night, Oregon State Beavers linebacker pledge Isaiah Chisom delivered a game-defining moment.

Leading Bishop Amat 29-22, Chaminade's defense needed a stop.

Instead, Chisom added some flair to the proceedings, plucking a ball out of the air and returning it 23 yards for a game-defining pick-six:

Chisom committed to Oregon State in late August after falling in love with the campus and city of Corvallis.

"I'm going to Oregon State," he said. "When we went up there the first time, me and coach (Trent) Bray talked like 45 minutes to an hour every time we were on the phone. We were texting a lot. No one else was really doing that with me. Throughout this whole thing I told my mom, 'I just want somebody who is showing me love.' That's what I was getting from Oregon State. Everybody in my family fell in love with them."

At the time, time 6-foot-1, 220-pound 'backer chose the Beavers over offers from Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon State, USC, Utah, Washington, Washington State and others.

This week, however, Chisom picked up an offer from Michigan State.

Holding onto his commitment will be a key to Oregon State's 2023 recruiting class, especially if he keeps making game-changing plays on defense.
