The Notre Dame Fighting Irish entered the weekend with two explosive running back commits in the 2023 recruiting cycle, Washington's Jayden Limar and Kansas star Dylan Edwards

On Saturday, they added a third.

Christian Brothers (Missouri) playmaker Jeremiyah Love, the nation's No. 3 athlete, announced his commitment to Notre Dame over Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Texas A&M and others:

“What ultimately stood out in the end was the crazy amounts of love I received from the fans and I overall just think Notre Dame had just a little bit more to offer than the other schools,” Love told On3. “Their academics are outstanding and that was one of the biggest deciding factors in my recruitment. I think ND Is just the perfect fit for me and my family.”

The 6-foot, 190-pound playmaker could contribute as an X-factor weapon on offense and special teams, but projects primarily as a running back, where 247Sports compared him to NFL star Alvin Kamara as part of their evaluation:

"Has a high-end combination of size, explosiveness as well as timed speed. Track guy who has had good results as a sprinter and then further backed up those results in football camp settings. Plays a lot of traditional halfback in high school, but could see more of a hybrid role come college. Has not been asked to run routes and catch the ball from a receiver spot as much at his school, but has shown he can do that at camps. If he needs to play running back, he can play running back. He needs more reps as a receiver, but there are flashes that he can do that. Regardless, he is a player who can get offensive touches in a variety of ways and has home run speed from any part of the field. Will need to settle into an offensive system and role in college, but has the pre-requisite tools to be a difference maker."

Notre Dame's recruiting class is ranked No. 3 nationally and is led by Guyer (Texas) five-star safety Peyton Bowen.

But offensively, the Fighting Irish's class is defined by a trio of elite - and versatile - running backs.
