The Washington Huskies have their quarterback of the future.

On Wednesday, Garfield High School (Washington) three-star signal-caller E.J. Caminong committed to Washington over offers from Colorado, Oregon State and Washington State:

"I chose Washington because the relationship I had with the coaches and the system they run," he said. "I feel like it fits me and what I want to do with my career in football and outside of football."

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound passer is rated the nation's No. 33 quarterback and No. 9 prospect in the state of Washington.

Caminong is on track to graduate a few months earlier than most class of 2024 prospects and intends to enroll at Washington in January 2024 in order to get a head start on learning the playbook.

However, he admits that's still a long way away.

Caminong is the third class of 2024 pledge for Washington, joining Yuma Catholic (Arizona) three-star edge-rusher Jaxson Jones and Liberty (Nevada) three-star athlete Landon Bell
