Following his unofficial visit to Michigan in October, Avon High School (Ohio) four-star offensive tackle Luke Hamilton named the Wolverines his leader.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect, rated the nation's No. 8 offensive tackle in 2024, indicated he didn't have a top three and didn't really have another program in the mix. 

So, it should come as no surprise that Hamilton announced his commitment to Michigan on Sunday, one day after the Wolverines clobbered the Ohio State Buckeyes:

While it was early in Hamilton's recruitment. he already held more than 20 offers, highlighted by Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee and others.

But the key really was Hamilton's October trip to Ann Arbor.

"My visit to Michigan was great," he told SBLive Sports following his trip. "(The) atmosphere was crazy and talking to the coaches is always awesome. My leader right now is Michigan. I really don’t have a top three." 

That lead never wavered, and Hamilton appears to have timed his commitment for maximum impact - a bluechip Ohio prospect committing to Michigan fresh off the Wolverines' big win?
