Dylan Harper, New Jersey's top-ranked boys basketball recruit, announces top five schools

The five-star 2024 combo guard announced his top five schools of Duke, Auburn, Indiana, Rutgers, and Kansas

Dylan Harper, a five-star combo guard from Don Bosco Prep (New Jersey) has cut his list of schools to five: Auburn, Duke, Indiana, Kansas, and Rutgers.

The 6-foot-5 180-pound recruit is currently ranked the nation's No. 4 prospect in the class of 2024, and the top-ranked combo guard according to On3

Harper is the son of five-time NBA champion Ron Harper, and his older brother, Ron Harper Jr., played college basketball at Rutgers

So, is Rutgers an early favorite to land Harper?

The Scarlet Knights could be - and it is something to keep an eye on.

Rutgers' 2024 recruiting class is ranked No. 3 in the country - consisting of five-star power forward Ace Bailey and four-star point guard Dellquan Warren

If the Scarlet Knights can land Harper, there is a good chance Rutgers can finish with the No. 1 recruiting class in 2024.

As of now Duke has a 39.6% chance of landing Harper, while Indiana isn't far behind at 34.7% according to On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine

Rutgers is currently in third place to land the coveted 2024 combo guard with a 20% chance.
