T.J. Lindsey, 4-star defensive end, eager for first Oklahoma Sooners visit

Class of 2024 4-star defensive end T.J. Lindsey is set to visit Oklahoma on March 4

The NCAA-mandated recruiting dead period finally comes to an end in less than a week.

And the Oklahoma Sooners are ready to hit the ground running.

On Friday, class of 2024 Bryant (Arkansas) four-star defensive end T.J. Lindsey tweeted that he will be taking his first visit to Norman on March 4:

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound defensive lineman said he's eager to take his first Oklahoma trip.

"I haven’t ever been there," Lindsey said. "This is my first time I’m going to be on campus, but I love the relationships I've built with the coaches in the past couple of months. I want  meet coach (Brent) Venables and coach (Todd) Bates and just see what they have to offer."

With nearly 10 months until the early signing period. Lindsey already boasts nearly 30 scholarship offers, highlighted by Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M and several others.

But Oklahoma's upcoming visit could prove to be an early separator in the battle for his services.

During the 2023 recruiting cycle, the Sooners signed the nation's No. 4 recruiting class. "

So far, Oklahoma is still in search of its first 2024 pledge, but is likely to add multiple commitments in the month of March, as Venables' program is schedule to host dozens of elite prospects from all over the country.
