One of the fastest-rising class of 2024 basketball prospects in the country is making some big recruiting moves.

Narbonne (California) four-star small forward Marcus Adams Jr. announced Tuesday that he will be taking an official visit to UCLA this weekend, a trip that immediately follows an official visit to check out the Kansas Jayhawks:

Adams is rated the nation's No. 61 overall prospect and No. 16 small forward, but has seen his recruitment soar in recent weeks.

In the month of February, the 6-foot-8, 205-pound wing has added offers from Arkansas, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, Washington and Xavier.

Last weekend, Adams took a trip to check out Kansas.

"It was fun," he said. "All around, it was pretty cool meeting the players and coaching staff. Everyone was cool, welcoming. My family liked it a lot as well."

The trip was enough to make the Jayhawks a serious contender.

"They are pretty high up there," he said. "They made a big impact."

Next up is this weekend's trip to UCLA, which could be crucial.

"I'm excited," he said. "I've been to UCLA a lot - never toward the campus, but to Pauley Pavilion. Coach (Mick) Cronin, coach (Rod) Palmer, they are excited to have me. I'm ready to visit the school, see the guys again, know what they are all about, see the academic again and see if I should stay home."

Adams has already taken official visits to Syracuse and Kansas, will visit UCLA and is considering a possible fourth official visit to Texas, but has not formally set a top four since his flurry of new offers in early February.

The California product is leaning toward making a decision in April or May, but is still weighing his options.
