Dylan Raiola, nation's No. 1 prospect, connects with Georgia pledge Peyton Woodyard during California trip

Pinnacle (Arizona) five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola attended a St. John Bosco basketball game alongside elite safety prospect Peyton Woodyard

Fresh off a visit to check out the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Pinnacle (Arizona) five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola scheduled a return trip to see the USC Trojans this weekend.

But the Georgia Bulldogs may still have scored some recruiting points anyway.

Raiola, the nation's No. 1 overall prospect, spent Saturday night hanging out with elite St. John Bosco safety and Georgia pledge Peyton Woodyard.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound signal-caller's only tweet of the weekend? A #GoDawgs quote tweeting Woodyard:

Since Raiola's decommitment from Ohio State in mid-December his recruitment has primarily focused in on Georgia, Nebraska and USC.

After visiting Nebraska In late February, a flurry of expert predictions came in favoring the Cornhuskers, but this weekend's USC trip led some to wonder if it was the Trojans who had a slight edge.

In truth, Georgia is very much in the thick of Raiola's recruitment and it's a great sign for the Bulldogs that he is connecting with Woodyard, the nation's No. 3 safety

Currently, Georgia has the nation's No. 1 2024 recruiting class, a group that consists of 10 pledges and is led by a trio of five-star recruits - IMG Academy (Florida) cornerback Ellis Robinson IV, Colquitt County (Georgia) tight end Landen Thomas and Chilton County (Alabama) athlete Demarcus Riddick.
