Rakease Passmore, 4-star wing, excited about Miami Hurricanes offer

The Combine Academy (North Carolina) junior talked to SBLive about his most recent offer

Combine Academy has been in the recruiting spotlight as of late.

The national powerhouse's star players, Rakease Passmore and Trentyn Flowers, have both moved up in national rankings. They have received various Power 5 offers and Flowers recently announced a commitment date along with his top six schools.

Passmore, a 6-foot-5 185-pound wing, picked up an offer earlier this week from the Miami Hurricanes. He currently holds offers from more than 30 Division 1 programs including Indiana, Wake Forest, NC State, Auburn, Illinois, Oregon and Kansas.

When asked about receiving an offer from Miami and head coach Jim Larrañaga, Passmore expressed his excitement. "My reaction when I got the offer was that I was really excited. Growing up in Florida, it meant a lot to me."

Miami does not have any class of 2024 boys basketball commits. However, the Hurricanes have offered several 2024 stars including Boogie Fland, Marcus Allen and Kon Knueppel

According to On3, Passmore is ranked as the nation's No. 48 overall prospect, No. 12 small forward and North Carolina's No. 8 prospect.

Passmore said he plans to visit Oregon, Auburn and Kansas soon.

The high-rising junior prospect has already taken an official visit to Indiana and unofficial visits to Duke and Wake Forest.
