Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, nation's No. 6 linebacker, shares USC Trojans official visit graphic
Last week, St. John Bosco (California) star Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, the nation's No. 6 linebacker, announced that he was down to a final three of Notre Dame, Ohio State and USC.
On Tuesday, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound 'backer shared a graphic of his USC official visit, locking in the June 2 date that he had discussed previously:
Viliamu-Asa is high on the Trojans, and their proximity adds to their intrigue as a possible destination.
"It's a great staff and they are going in the right direction," he said. :Living in California, it would be building my legacy at home with my family there. That's what I really like."
Viliamu-Asa will also take official visits to Notre Dame (June 16-18) and Ohio State (June 23-25) before "most likely" making a summer decision.
"I'm going to make a decision, most likely, in July," he said. "When I take my official visits I'm going to sit down with my family and go from there."
Viliamu-Asa would be a massive addition for USC, and would help address concerns over last year's recruiting haul.
In the class of 2023, Lincoln Riley's program signed just two top-300 defenders in the country, according to 247Sports - Friendswood (Texas) four-star edge-rusher Braylan Shelby (No. 85) and Many (Louisiana) linebacker Tackett Curtis (No. 108).
The Trojans didn't sign a single top-20 defender from the state of California.
By adding Viliamu-Asa, USC would address both issues, as the California product is rated the nation's No. 69 overall prospect and the No. 10 player in his state.
Still, there's a long battle ahead to make that happen.
Riley's staff will have to fend off intense pursuits from Notre Dame and Ohio State.
That effort could take a big step forward with his official visit.
