Durant (Oklahoma) four-star defensive lineman Xadavien Sims is ready to make a decision.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound defender, rated the nation's No. 121 overall prospect and No. 16 defensive lineman, announced a final five Wednesday.

Sims is down to Oklahoma, Oregon, Michigan State, TCU and Vanderbilt and will announce his commitment May 20:

For Sims, the cut from 10 to five was significant, as Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Miami, Michigan and Texas A&M failed to make the list.

Sims has previously visited each of his finalists, but one school seems to stand out.

According to the recruiting industry, Michigan State is the overwhelming favorite - with 100 percent of 247Sports' predictions in favor of the Spartans and On3 giving them a 91.2 percent chance of securing his commitment.

Still, in-state Oklahoma and Oregon, which hosted Sims in late April, shouldn't be counted out and have pulled off their fair share of surprises in the NIL recruiting era.

Here's what 247Sports had to say about Sims, in part, as a prospect:

"Flashes punch power at the point of attack. Capable of disengaging to make plays on the ball. Has some pursuit juice when closing on a bead. ...Play strength is obvious. Bull rusher who can collapse the pocket from the interior, but also plays edge snaps and shows similar brute force on the outside. ...Owns valuable two-way snaps with reps at tight end. Flashes impact blocking ability and fires out of stance perhaps more consistently on offense. ...Needs more technical nuance. That includes hand violence, extension, and disengaging consistency, as well as expanding his move set as a pass rusher...."
