Lexington Christian Academy (Kentucky) star Cutter Boley is rated the nation's No. 5 quarterback in the class of 2025 and is currently uncommitted.

But all of that may change Thursday, as the 6-foot-5, 200-pound signal-caller is set to announce his college decision, as well as a possible reclassification into the class of 2024.

Boley will announce his commitment at approximately 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT and is down to a final five of Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan, Penn State and Tennessee.

This week, the prized recruit joined SBLive Sports to break down each of his finalists and discuss the possibility of enrolling early.

Florida State: "I really like what coach (Mike) Norvell is doing.I feel like they are really moving in the right direction. They could be a team, here in the next few years, that competes for national championships. I feel like next year they are going to have a special year. I like coach (Tony) Tokarz. I like how he coaches quarterbacks. All around, it's a good environment, good football weather, great tradition and I love the direction they are headed in."

Kentucky: "It's home town. I grew up a U-K fan. I really like coach (Liam) Coen, I really like coach (Mark) Stoops. Coach Stoops has done really incredible things with the program. Since he's been there, he's really turned it around to where they are really competitive in the SEC. I think they are headed in the right direction. The offense is going to get better every year under Coen, and the defense is going to get better also."

Michigan: "I really like coach (Jim Harbaugh). I feel like he knows what it takes to put quarterbacks in the league. He knows what it takes to play in the NFL at the quarterback position. Their pro-style offense really fits my style of play and what style I would like to play in."

Penn State: "I love the tradition and the atmosphere. The "White Out' stuff is crazy up there. They are going to be competing for national championships every year and are one of those 7-8 schools where they have a chance to make the college football playoff every year. Knowing that I have a chance to play at a really high level there with some of the best players in the nation, and that offense, I feel like I could fit in there perfectly."

Tennessee: "They put up big numbers - a lot of years. It looks like a really fun offense to play in. The fans down there are crazy. I really like coach (Josh) Heupel. Obviously he played quarterback. Tennessee is a lot of fun, has a great tradition and are on the right track with coach Huepel. They've gone from not really being talked about to beating Alabama. I know they are going to be competing at a really high level for the next four or five years, at least."

Reclassification: "I am going to announce my plans with my commitment on Thursday."

The NCAA has granted Boley permission to take official visits this summer, which would seem to indicate his intentions to reclassify from the class of 2025 into 2024.

But fans won't know, for certain, until later this week.

As it stands, Kentucky is viewed as the favorite to land Boley over the rest of the field.

However, he has not formally named a favorite.
