KJ Bolden on Georgia Bulldogs following visit: 'I feel wanted and needed'

Buford (Georgia) five-star safety KJ Bolden had a positive unofficial visit to Georgia this weekend

Buford (Georgia) five-star prospect KJ Bolden, the nation's No. 1 safety, has an official visit scheduled to the University of Georgia for June 9.

But ahead of that trip, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound versatile athlete made an unofficial trek to Athens over the weekend to check out what Kirby Smart's program has to offer.

In truth, Bolden has already been to Georgia many times, but this visit felt a little different.

"What stood out was what they are putting together there," he said. "(There's) a great group of guys already there, plus the 2024 commits that are there... we all talk already. I feel wanted and needed to continue their dynasty."

Overall, Bolden had high praise for the trip.

"I had a good visit," he said. "I enjoyed it a lot. (I) got to talk with the coaches about where they see me fitting in and what makes Georgia a good fit."

Bolden has set five official visits thus far - Clemson (June 2), Georgia (June 9), Ohio State (June 16), Alabama (June 23) and Auburn (October 6) - but he has also previously indicated he is still working on setting up a trip to Florida State.

Regardless, it is beginning to feel as though Georgia is emerging as a major threat to land Bolden.

The in-state school has impressed him during several trips, continues to hammer home that he is a priority and he's beginning to build strong bonds with the current roster and 2024 pledges.

So, while Bolden gave no indication of his leanings, it is probably smart to consider Georgia a massive threat going forward.
