Paetow (Texas) four-star edge-rusher Loghan Thomas is ready to make his college decision.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defender, rated the nation's No. 9 edge-rusher and 101 overall prospect, is down to a final five of Arizona, Georgia, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Texas Tech and will announce his commitment at 5:45 p.m. ET/2:45 p.m. PT:

The upcoming decision is far from a surprise.

Over the past several days, Notre Dame has emerged as the overwhelming favorite to land the talented defensive end/linebacker - with On3 giving the Fighting Irish a 96.1 percent chance of securing the Texas talent.

Thomas discussed his development and recruitment in a recent interview with Dave Campbell's Texas Football:

Notre Dame's 2024 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 4 nationally, but would climb to No. 3 with the addition of Thomas, behind only No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Michigan.

The headliner of the class so far is the dynamic duo of Glenbard South (Illinois) wide receiver Cam Williams and Saline (Michigan) quarter C.J. Carr, both top-50 prospects nationally.
