Campbell Hall (California) four-star linebacker Kamar Mothudi has tentative plans to make his college commitment on June 30.

But before the 6-foot-3, 220-pound All-American Bowl selection makes any type of commitment he's got a busy June travel schedule.

Mothudi intends to visit five schools next month and will make a decision after talking things over with his family.

His itinerary? Utah (June 2), Michigan State (June 9), Washington (June 16), Texas (June 20) and Oregon (June 23).

Mothudi joined SBLive for an in-depth breakdown of those five schools.

Utah: "They get three-star, four-star talent and they put out NFL-ready guys. I think that's the main reason I'm looking at them. The defense has been one of the top ones in the nation over the past couple of years. It's a defensive-minded staff with great player development."

Michigan State: "I don't know if you'd call it, maybe mysterious... but something about them makes me intrigued. I've been a fan of the school since 2016 March Madness. I know that's kind of random, but I've been following them for a while. When they offered I was already interested."

Mothudi said his visit to East Lansing is a little bit of a flier visit - a boom-or-bust trip for the school.

"I don't necessarily know what to expect from them. I've watched them a little bit. They've got some things going on there, so I want to check it out and see for myself."

Washington: "It was my first Power 5 offer, so they have a special place in my heart. Coach (William) Inge, I love him. I love how he coaches, how he teaches. I got to see that more in-depth when I went to their Junior Day back in January."

"I like their environment. I like Seattle, too. It's not (Los Angeles), but it's still a major city. That's nice."

Texas: "I just feel like Texas is one of those programs you have to respect. It's the football state, so when they offered I had to give them a look."

"It's aggressive, hard-hitting football."

Mothudi was also encouraged by Arch Manning's commitment to the program, an unofficial stamp of approval from the Manning family.

"If they trust Texas to develop Arch and follow in the family, then they've got to be doing something right."

Oregon: "I've been there twice."

"They were like, 'You're going here, here, here. Okay, you need to make us the last one.' And I said okay."

"I'm going to each visit with a checklist almost of what I'm looking for to see what programs have and don't have."

"With Oregon being my last one, it's kind of just finalizing what I already know and cementing my thoughts about them."

Asked whether or not fans should read into Oregon getting the last trip, Mothudi hesitated.

"A little bit," he said.

Commitment date: "I just worked this out (this week) in one of my classes during free time. I think I'm going to commit June 30. I was thinking I'll get back from Oregon, sit down, go over all of my visits, see what I'm feeling and announce where I want to go."

"That's what I'm thinking right now."

Scouting report (courtesy of 247Sports)

"Mothudi is one of the nation’s top linebacker prospects who was getting some looks at running back early on as well. He rushed for over 1,400 yards and scored 18 touchdowns as a junior but his future is at linebacker and his upside is extremely high. He’s a three-sport athlete who also plays basketball and runs track and is just coming in to his own. He has an ideal linebacker frame at about 6-3, 215 pounds and shows the positional versatility to play inside or outside and could even grow in to an edge rusher. He’s athletic enough to get looks as a safety but we think playing as a will ‘backer might be his meal ticket because of his ability to play in space and cover."
