Air Noland, Jeremiah Smith tweet they are 'locked in' to Ohio State despite rumors

Amid rumors that Air Noland and Jeremiah Smith are weighing their options both players clarified their commitment statuses

Well, Ohio State Buckeyes fans can breathe a sigh of relief.

Two of Ohio State's highest-rated pledges - Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Florida) five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and Langston Hughes (Georgia) four-star quarterback Air Noland - clarified their commitment statuses Wednesday, indicating they are locked in:

In the case of Smith, the rumors have a little bit more substance currently.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound pass-catcher, rated the nation's No. 2 overall prospect, has scheduled five official visits and is set to take trips to Florida (June 2), Ohio State (June 9), Florida State (June 19) and Miami (June 21) in the coming weeks.

Despite the tweet, he re-confirmed his weekend trip to Gainesville with SBLive Sports.

As for Noland, the nation's No, 4 quarterback is being heavily recruited by several programs and there have been social media rumblings of possible visits to LSU and Oregon.

But so far, none of those rumors have been substantiated with scheduled trips by Noland.

Ohio State's 2024 recruiting class is ranked No. 3 nationally, and two of its three biggest stars let the college football world know they are set on a future in Columbus.
