Julian Sayin named Elite 11 Finals MVP

LOS ANGELES — Julian Sayin was the most consistent quarterback at the 2023 Elite 11 Finals. And through three sessions of drills, workouts and 7-on-7 reps that concluded Friday, consistency earned the five-star prospect Elite 11 Finals MVP honors.

Sayin, who attends Carlsbad High School in Southern California, is committed to the University of Alabama. He follows in the footsteps of previous Elite 11 Finals MVP's CJ Stroud, Justin Fields and Tua Tagovailoa. 

"I attribute this to hard work," Sayin said. "I'm just doing what I love, playing this game. Growing up and watching the Elite 11, I'm just so happy to be here."

On the third day of the camp, Sayin finished in second place in the accuracy challenge by completing 12-of-19 passes with a touchdown in the 7-on-7 portion of the event.

Sayin was one of the Night 1 top performers and he was named the Night 2 MVP after a terrific pro day workout. Sayin was surgical during the workout with his only mistake coming on a long pylon toss where he tried a jump pass that just missed the receiver, but looked beautiful in the air. 

Sayin beat out Georgia commit Dylan Raiola, the consensus No. 1 recruit in the country, to win MVP. 

Following his final high school season in the fall, Sayin will head to Tuscaloosa to start his next football chapter. 

"I'm really excited about going to Alabama just because I feel like I can be a quality leader for this class and just be a quality guy on the locker room for them," he said.
