Tyseer Denmark, 4-star wide receiver, commits to in-state Penn State Nittany Lions

Roman Catholic (Pennsylvania) four-star wide receiver Tyseer Denmark decommitted from Oregon just days ago

For the past several weeks momentum has been building for Roman Catholic (Pennsylvania) four-star wide receiver Tyseer Denmark to make a major recruiting move.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound pass-catcher committed to the Oregon Ducks late last year, but Dan Lanning's program continued to add (and recruit) more pass-catchers, while Denmark took other visits and openly weighed his options.

After decommitting from Oregon and visiting Penn State last weekend, Denmark officially completed the flip Wednesday, announcing his commitment to the Nittany Lions.

“What stood out to me was everything,” Denmark told On3. “The culture, how tight the players are to one another. Also last but not least, coach Franklin is a rare find coach. He gives it real flat out and gonna make sure you become the best player and human for the next 40 years instead of just the 4. Lastly, what I really love about the coaches is that football isn’t the only main focus.”

Denmark is the latest star wide receiver out of Roman Catholic, a program that also produced Marvin Harrison and Will Fuller.

He is rated the nation's No. 229 overall prospect and No. 41 wide receiver.

With Denmark's commitment, Penn State has secured the top three in-state prospects - and six total -  in the class of 2024, as he joins Belle Vernon four-star athlete Quinton Martin and McDowell four-star offensive lineman Cooper Cousins.

Overall, Penn State's 17-man recruiting class is ranked No. 7 nationally
