Tampa Catholic (Florida) four-star cornerback Jameer Grimsley is one of the nation's most coveted defensive backs.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound athlete holds nearly 40 scholarship offers from many of the nation's top programs.

But Grimsley is down to a final three of Alabama, Florida and Michigan, and has set a commitment date for Saturday at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT:

Grimsley took June official visits to Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, North Carolina and Penn State, but has previously visited Florida.

This week, he joined SBLive Sports to break down each of his finalists.

Alabama: "Bama is a great school they produce at all positions. Nick Saban is hands-on with the (defensive backs) and they have great history putting DBs in the league. They will be a top program for years to come and they are consistently always a championship contention."

Florida: "Florida is close to home, and has been my dream school since I was a kid. I like the direction they’re going in with their rebuild and the weather is great here in Florida. Historically they’ve been a great school especially on defense and have had multiple first round DBs. It may be a school that if I want to be part of a rebuild we could bring Florida back into national championship contention."

Michigan: "Michigan is a great school academically. They are the current Big 10 champs and have been for the last two years. They have a chance this year to do something special, and the program keeps getting better and better. They also have a great track record for putting their players in the league."

Overall, Grimlsey is rated the nation's No. 77 overall prospect and No. 11 cornerback, but is a versatile defensive back who could contribute all over the defensive backfield.
