To call Florida State hot on the recruiting trail might be an understatement. The Seminoles are on fire.

In less than 24 hours, Florida State jumped nine spots into the top five nationally for 2024 team recruiting rankings. The Seminoles climbed from No. 14 to No. 7 in the recruiting rankings Friday night after landing in-state star Charles Lester III, one of the nation’s top defensive backs, but they didn’t stop there.

Central Catholic (California) four-star offensive tackle Manassee Itete committed to Florida State on Saturday, bumping the Seminoles two more spots over Michigan and Clemson and into the top five nationally, per the On3 industry ranking.

Itete’s commitment came one day after he backed off his pledge to USC. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound lineman committed to Lincoln Riley and the Trojans in June.

Itete is ranked four stars by On3 and 247Sports. He is ranked higher by 247, which slots him at No. 12 for his position and No. 142 overall nationally, while On3 has him at No. 24 among offensive tackles and No. 354 overall in the country.

With his commitment, Itete became the 10th highest ranked recruit for Florida State in the class of 2024.
