Marcus Harris, elite California wide receiver, 'can't wait' for third Texas Longhorns visit

Mater Dei (California) wide receiver Marcus Harris making his third trip to Austin

Mater Dei (California) wide receiver Marcus Harris is one of the nation's best playmakers in the class of 2025.

The 6-foot, 180-pound pass-catcher is the No. 32 overall recruit and No. 6 wide receiver in the country.

And his offer sheet backs that up.

Harris holds more than 20 scholarship offers, highlighted by Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and others.

This weekend, the Mater Dei star is taking his third trip to Austin to check out the Texas Longhorns.

But this visit marks a first for Harris.

"This will be my third time visiting Texas, but my first time coming out for a game, so I can’t wait," he said. "I’m excited to see and feel the environment. Texas fans are real passionate about football, so I can’t wait to see the stadium rocking. Also can’t wait to touch base with the coaches again."

It's that coaching staff that has impressed Harris so much so far.

"I feel like Texas is a great program," he said. "They are always getting players to the league. Coaching is top notch. They develop most of their players."

It's early in the recruiting process for the dynamic California playmaker, but it's also clear that Texas has his full attention.

The Longhorns could take yet another step forward with Harris this weekend.
