Noah Flores visiting Washington Huskies: 'A staff that wants you to stay is great'

Graham-Kapowsin (Washington) tight end Noah Flores is eager for his first gameday experience at Husky Stadium

The Washington Huskies are hosting a massive collection of visitors this weekend for their top-10 clash against the Oregon Ducks.

It's a group that boasts elite quarterbacks, several commits and a handful of top in-state targets

One of those, Graham-Kapowsin (Washington) tight end Noah Flores, has visited Washington countless times, but has never been for a gameday experience.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound pass-catcher can't wait.

"I'm pumped up," Flores said. "I'm ready to see the team play. I'm ready... I love football. It's going to be great."

Washington's coaching staff has made Flores feel like a priority for quite some time, and that relationship has put the Huskies into "strong contender" status.

"I love what they are doing down there," he said. "I don't want to say too much, but we are building a relationship, for sure."

Asked if Washington is an early leader.

"Oh yeah, they are top three," he said. "I'm definitely considering U-Dub. They show the most love and I like what they are building."

Washington has experienced inconsistent results with in-state recruits in recent year, but Kalen DeBoer and his staff are working to turn that around.

Several of the top in-state recruits will be on hand, and Flores said he's been impressed with the way he's been a focal point for the program.

"That's everything - stay home, play for the home team, put on for the city. That's the goal. A staff that wants you to say is great."

Flores is rated the nation's No. 14 tight end in the class of 2025 and holds offers from several Power 5 conference programs, so it's no surprise Washington wants him to stay close to home.

So far, that message has resonated with Flores, and could continue to hit home during this weekend's top-10 clash.
