Bryce Davis visiting Alabama; Nation's No. 4 edge-rusher 'excited' for trip

Grimsley (North Carolina) four-star edge-rusher Bryce Davis is eager to continue building his relationship with the Crimson Tide

The Alabama Crimson Tide have gotten an early start on the class of 2025, accumulating seven pledges for the nation's No. 2 collection of talent.

This weekend, Nick Saban's program will host another top-flight 2025 talent, as Grimsley (North Carolina) star Bryce Davis will be in Tuscaloosa:

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound defender is rated the nation's No. 36 overall prospect and No. 4 edge-rusher.

Davis holds early offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Stanford, Tennessee, USC and others.

But this weekend's trip to Alabama could help Davis propel his recruitment with the Crimson Tide.

"My relationship with Alabama is good," he said. "I talk to coach Cox the most since he recruits (North Carolina). It's good. We talk almost every week and I'm excited to continue to build the relationship."

It's too early to speculate where Davis will end up, but whoever secures his commitment will be getting an elite defensive stopper.

As a sophomore, Davis recorded 85 tackles, 24 tackles-for-loss, 12 sacks, two pass break-ups, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and a blocked punt.
