Madden Riordan on USC Trojans offer: 'USC is my dream school'

It's early for recruiting in the class of 2026.

But Sierra Canyon (California) versatile defensive back Madden Riordan has already established himself as a major prospect to watch.

The 5-foot-11, 160-pound cornerback is nearing double-digit offers, highlighted by Arizona, California, Colorado and Miami.

But this week, Riordan received a potentially recruitment-altering offer from the USC Trojans.

"(It's a) dream come true," he said. "It means everything. USC is my dream school. My dad is a huge USC fan and I was ecstatic and overwhelmed with emotion." 

Even this early, it's enough to make the Trojans a frontrunner.

"I would say (they are) an early leader," Riordan said. "I love what coach Donte (Williams) is doing and the plan he has."

That plan includes highlighting Riordan's versatility, at least until his development dictates a path forward.

"Coach Donte knows I can play any position in the secondary, but mostly corner or safety," he said. "I love that he feels I’m versatile enough to play any position." 

Riordan has already visited USC several times before, but will be attending the Trojans' November 4 game against Washington as an offered student-athlete. 

"I have been going to USC games my whole life," he said.
