Solomon Thomas, nation's No. 1 guard, down to 10; Clear-cut leader emerging?

Raines (Florida) offensive lineman Solomon Thomas is flirting with five-star status

Class of 2025 Raines (Florida) star Solomon Thomas is one of the most coveted offensive linemen in America.

The 6-foot-4, 315-pound versatile lineman holds more than 30 scholarship offers and is rated the nation's No. 1 guard or No. 3 offensive tackle depending on which ranking site one uses.

On Friday, Thomas trimmed his list to 10 semifinalists: Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M:

The announcement is far from a surprise.

Thomas is expected to make a decision shortly - with Florida State projected as the overwhelming favorite to land his commitment.

On3 gives the Seminoles an eye-opening 95.3 percent chance of winning the Thomas sweepstakes.

So, while 10 teams remain in the hunt, Florida State should feel really good about where it stands currently.
