We've separated boys and girls because of how many great performances there are each week. Now it's your turn to choose a standout among the pack, the best of the best.
Here are the nominees for SBLive's Girls Athlete of the Week for May 8-14. Voting closes on Sunday, May 21 at 11:59 (Pacific Time) and winners are announced on Mondays.

Girls national athlete of the week nominees
Brianna Brennan, Village Christian (California)
Brennan went 3 for 4 at the plate with an RBI and two runs scored while surrendering no earned runs in the circle as Village Christian defeated St. Joseph, 7-4. Brennan allowed five hits and struck out 11. Earlier in the week, she tossed a three-hitter with 14 strikeouts in an 18-0 victory over Cantwell Sacred Heart.
Sarah Burns, Santa Fe (Florida)
Burns struck out a season-high 17 as Sante Fe held on for a 1-0 win over Crystal River.
Brenley Goebel, Arlington (South Dakota)
In a doubleheader, Goebel went a combined 7 for 9 with three doubles, a home run, six RBIs and four runs scored. Arlington swept the two games by scores of 14-9 and 11-4.
Myla Greene, Bullis (Maryland)
Greene won the 300 hurdles competition at the ISL championships with a time of 40.48. The Tennessee signee has the fastest 300 hurdles time nationally this spring.
Miali Guachino, Great Oak (California)
Guachino fanned 20 en route to a no-hitter as Great Oak took down Moorpark, 7-0. Guachino, a junior, is committed to Ole Miss.
Lily Huneycutt, West Stanly (North Carolina)
Huneycutt threw a perfect game with 15 strikeouts and went 2 for 3 at the plate with a pair of RBIs in a 6-0 victory over Bandys.
Addison Kluck, D.C. Everest (Wisconsin)
Kluck had a perfect game with 12 strikeouts as D.C. Everest plated five fifth-inning runs for a 5-0 win against Merrill.
Lauren Lewis, Prosper (Texas)
Lewis broke her own state record in the 400 with a time of 51.45 — the fastest in the country this season — at the Class 6A state championships. Lewis is a Texas signee.
Ella Ludden, Birmingham (California)
Ludden threw a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts as Birmingham shut out Eagle Rock, 2-0.
Emily Richards, Rumson-Fair Haven (New Jersey)
Richards had a double, two home runs and four RBIs in an 11-3 victory over Red Bank Regional.
Desirae Spearman, Hanks (Texas)
Spearman threw a four-hitter with nine strikeouts, hit a home run and scored three runs as Hanks defeated Wylie, 6-0. Spearman has 25 home runs this season.
Mensi Stiff, Brentwood Academy (Tennessee)
Stiff set a new personal record in the shot put with a top throw of 52-8.5 at a regional meet. The senior’s mark ranks second nationally this season.
Carlee Strand, La Grande (Oregon)
Strand fanned 15 and didn’t allow a hit as La Grande downed Vale, 9-0.
Sydney Vitangcol, Wisconsin Lutheran (Wisconsin)
The sophomore rattled off consecutive no-hitters in a week of continued blistering play, building on an impressive all-state freshman season. Her numbers over three games: 34.2 innings pitched, 0.20 ERA and 74 strikeouts opposite three batters walked.
Ruby Yates, Anna-Jonesboro (Illinois)
Yates completed a perfect game with 14 strikeouts in an 8-0 victory over Harrisburg. It was the sophomore’s first career perfect game and no-hitter.
