LaNorris Sellers, South Florence, Football

His coach says he's the best football player in the state. The Syracuse recruit was fabulous again, completing 14 of 29 passes for 247 yards in the undefeated Bruins’ 46-0 win over North Myrtle Beach. Sellers showed off his dual-threat ability by running 9 times for 107 yards and a touchdown.

And hours after South Florence coach Drew Marlowe noted that Sellers had only one offer from within the state, South Carolina extended one on Saturday.

Josh Williams, Westside, Football

Talk about versatility. Williams showed out on both sides of the ball in a 41-20 win over Easley. The junior star returned a fumble for a touchdown, made five solo tackles and had 80 yards in receptions along with a touchdown.

Jarvis Green, Dutch Fork, Football

It seems like he's on this list every week. The James Madison recruit had yet another spectacular game, accounting for 297 yards and a school record-tying 7 touchdowns - all in the first half - as the Silver Foxes routed River Bluff 56-7. Green had 191 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns while catching 4 passes for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Seven touchdowns in one half against a team that was 6-2 coming into the game is saying a bunch.

Alexis Jodie, River Bluff, Volleyball

A freshman setter for the state’s top-ranked team, Jodie had 31 assists, 2 kills, 2 aces and 5 digs in River Bluff’s first-round state playoff sweep of Hillcrest.

Jodie has 775 assists for the season.

Alexia Milbrandt, Hilton Head, Golf

A sophomore, Milbdrandt shot a 73 to take medalist honors in the AAAA Lower State championship.

Darren Lloyd, West Florence, Football

This is what you call dominating. Lloyd was just about unstoppable in the undefeated Knights’ 57-39 win over West Florence. The senior tailback ran 30 times for 398 yards and 6 touchdowns. His touchdowns covered 41, 64, 15, 62, 14 and 19 yards.

Zion Gilbert, Carolina Forest, Football

A star is emerging. The sophomore tailback ran 23 times for 203 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 56-35 win over Socastee.

Jaiden McDowell, Gaffney, Football

You would call this making an impact early. The freshman running back carried 20 times for 172 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Indians clinched the regional title with a 41-29 win over previously undefeated Dorman.

Lexi Rogers, Byrnes, Volleyball

The 5-foot-9 senior outside hitter/middle blocker smacked 30 kills in the Rebels’ 3-1 win over Fort Mill in the first round of the AAAAA state playoffs. She also had 3 aces and 11 digs.

Thomas Edmondson, Greenville, Football

The senior linebacker recovered two fumbles in the Red Raiders’ 66-7 win over Greenwood. He also lined up in the backfield and scored his first career touchdown. Edmondson is the second-leading tackler on the team.
