Chance Hall, North Myrtle Beach, Baseball

The Chiefs were down 9-1 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning. No way they come back. Right? Well, they did. Hall’s walk-off RBI single capped a crazy nine-run rally and the Chiefs beat James Island 10-9 to advance to the 4-A Lower State championship series. Hall was 2-for-3 and is batting .333 for the season.

Kylie Cino, Wando, Girls Soccer

Na’Veah Matthews, Gray Collegiate, Softball

The War Eagles’ center fielder made a leaping catch to save two runs in a nine-inning, 3-2 thriller over Strom Thurmond in the 2-A playoffs. She also raced in to cover second base when the War Eagles caught a Strom Thurmond player in a rundown. At the plate, Matthews had a triple and scored a run.

Berry, a sophomore, threw a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts as Latta beat Lake View 4-0 in the 1-A state playoffs.

Hailie Lebiedz, Marion, Softball

Camille Carter, Eastside, Girls Soccer

Callah Dando, Hilton Head Prep, Girls Soccer

Dando scored four goals in the Dolphins’ 10-0 win over Northside Christian in the quarterfinals of the SCISA 3-A state playoffs. The sophomore striker got two more in an 8-2 win over John Paul II in the semifinals.
