SBLive's leading candidates for 2021-22 Class 3A Texas High School Girls Basketball Player of the Year

These 10 Class 3A players have separated themselves with their play on the court this season

As part of our end-of-season all-state awards, SBLive will recognize the top players and coaches around the state in Texas high school basketball for their phenomenal performances during the 2021-22 season.

The following standout student-athletes have been named finalists for SBLive’s Class 3A Texas High School Girls Basketball Player of the Year, which honors the state’s most valuable player on the court in 3A.

SBLive Player of the Year award winners and all-state teams for 1A-6A and private schools will be released in late March after the end of the Texas high school basketball playoffs.

SBLIVE’S LEADING CANDIDATES FOR 3A GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR:

Brenom Brown (Pollok Central) — 15.4 points, 13.8 rebounds, 2.8 steals, 2.1 assists, 1.0 block, 41.4% FG in 31 GP

Jackie Garcia (Mathis) — 12.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.8 steals, 1.7 assists, 32.5% FG in 36 GP

Claire Graham (Tuscola Jim Ned) — 15.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.3 steals, 42.7% FG in 33 GP

Brenna Howard (S&S Consolidated) — 16.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.7 steals, 1.3 assists, 32.0% FG in 25 GP

Sarah Long (Lago Vista) — 13.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.7 steals, 2.0 assists, 34.7% FG in 34 GP

Harmony Marsh (Paris Chisum) — 11.2 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.2 blocks, 1.2 assists, 60.2% FG in 34 GP
