Look: Beaumont United rallies to beat Dallas Kimball in UIL 5A boys basketball semifinals

Beaumont United will play for the 5A state championship on Saturday at 3 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Wesley Yates scored 20 points and Clarence Payia added 16 to lift Beaumont United to. a 66-64 victory over Dallas Kimball in the UIL Class 6A boys basketball semifinals on Thursday.

Beaumont United trailed 50-43 entering the fourth quarter, then outscored Dallas Kimball 23-14 to advance to the state championship game.

Trealyn Porchia and Terrance Arceneaux scored 11 points apiece for Beaumont United (34-3).

Arterio Morris led Dallas Kimball with 21 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. Trae Clayton added 18 points and Chauncey Gibson chipped in 10.

Beaumont United will play the winner of Mansfield Timberview vs. Boerne Champion for the 5A state championship on Saturday at 3 p.m.
