McKinney will play in its first Texas state championship game in school history on Saturday
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Alex Anamekwe stole the ball and threw down a two-handed dunk with less than two seconds to play to lift McKinney to a 68-66 victory over Austin Westlake in the Texas (UIL) Class 6A boys basketball semifinals on Friday night in the Alamodome.
McKinney will play in its first state championship game in school history on Saturday against the winner of Duncanville vs. Humble Atascocita.
Ja'Kobe Walter led McKinney with 23 points and 8 rebounds and Jacovey Campbell added 16 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds.
Jaden Greathouse led Austin Westlake with 19 points and 8 rebounds.
